I do not feel confident that the Free AVG Antivirus software works on my PC.

I get messages on my AVG dashboard saying it has scanned my PC, but whenever I run a manual scan with AVG Free Antivirus, my PC crashes.

In addition, I got a pop-up box saying I needed to update my antivirus software. I clicked on the link, but the AVG links never work. I went to their web page and downloaded the latest version of the software, but I still get the pop-up saying my software needs to be updates.

I wonder if this AVG software is doing anything at all.
