Virus scan keeps quitting on my mac

I understand the inconvenience, let’s try to fix it together.
Please uninstall AVG Anti Virus completely and again reinstall a fresh copy and check if that fixes the issue.

To Uninstall AVG 17: Run uninstallation from /Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/uninstall/com.avg.uninstall.app

I recently installed the free version and when I run the virus scan it keeps quitting. It also shows infected files but now I have no way of cleaning them out.
