Virus scan stuck at 70%

Virus scan stuck at 70%. It found a threat when it was at 51%. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG five times and it still freezes. I have been using AVG for several years and never had a problem until now. How can this be fixed?

The link you sent is for the computer I have, I have a MacBook. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG 5 times. The problem has not been fixed.
