Yesterday I deleted virus vault by mistake instead of restoring it. When I restarted, the sound has an "x" symbol on it. It is saying "audio service is not running". Manually starting the service will give me this error; "Windows could not start the Windows Audio service on Local Computer. Error 0x800706cc: The endpoint is duplicate." Also I noticed that the computer is running slower than usual. How can I fix this please? I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit.

Hello Wayne. I kindly request you to follow the instructions to restore the PC.
1. Press Windows key + R and put services.msc in Run dialog box. Click OK to open Services.
2. Now in the Services window shown below, scroll down and look for Volume Shadow Copy service. As I said it shouldn’t be running since you’re facing the issue in restoring system due to it and must be of Manual type. Double click on this service.
3. Moving on, in the below shown window, click on Start.
4. Please wait for the process to get completed.
5. The service will be started and click "Apply" followed by "OK" in the Volume Shadow Copy Properties window. Restart the machine, and retry to restore the system, you should now be able to do it without any hitch.

Please feel free to contact us back for any further assistance.
