Hello Stephen. we are sorry for the delay in responding to you. I kindly request you to reinstall the AVG program, please have a look at this article http://avgread.me/1bsCjtC to reinstall the AVG program. Thank you.
Hello Kishore, no problem re delay - it's not a critical issue. I thought you'd eventually suggest a reinstall. If there's no other way to do it, I find a complete install too fiddly and time consuming, so, since it's only a minor iritation and unless something starts to fail,I'll wait until the next major release (2016?) and do it then.
Thanks for your help.
Somehow I've got an item stuck in the Virus Vault. It came from a tracking cookie detection a few weeks ago. Whenever I try to delete it, either individually or using "Empty Vault" it returns a notification of "Vault item not found" and the item remains in the list. Anyone know how to get rid of it?
Hi Subhadeep, I'm using AVG 2015 FREE fully up to date.
I know cookies aren't harmful but AVG often finds and vaults these tracking cookies (even though I have their site blocked) so I empty the vault each time but now, when I do, all the new ones get deleted but I get this error message from the old one. It's more an anoyance than anything.
Safe mode doesn't help since AVG will only scan from there and doesn't give access to the vault (unless I'm missing something).
I think the vault is actually empty but some index is still listing this old item.
