Viruses on my computer despite latest AVG Internet Security

My computer was hit with about 10 Viruses despite having the latest Internet anti-virus AVG loaded. The system slowed, hung often. At the Repairs Company they Unistalled AVG in favour of Kespersky Internet Software. Too late I have paid for my new AVG anti-virus package and repairs in fixing up my laptop. I want a Refund. Please advise.Thank you.
