VPN and sending e-mails

AVG Secure VPN has no impact on email behavior if you access your web based email account via an internet browser. Could you confirm if you send & receive emails using an email client like Outlook or via a web browser?

I have AVG's VPN and have no trouble with it when using the internet. However, when in use, it will not allow me to send an e-mail. I can receive them with no problems.

The error message which appears if I try to send with the VPN on has a last line like the following:

Server error: '451 4.7.1 You are greylisted for 900 seconds' (the number of seconds is not always the same)

I did ring AVG Help and their advice was that my computer was too slow and I needed to contact my service provider. I know my computer is slower than most because I have a poor internet connection which is, at times, almost unworkable. However, I have established that it's only the sending of e-mails that cause a problem. I've begun switching my VPN off which results in the sending of e-mails with no problem at all. But that defeats the purpose really!!! I want the VPN ON all the time!

Is there anything I can do to be able to send an e-mail WITHOUT turning my VPN off?

Val, we didn't get the screenshot. I have sent you an email to send us the screenshot of the error message that you are receiving when you try to send an email with AVG Secure VPN turned on. Please reply to the email to check the screenshot and to assist you further.

Error message which occurs EVERY time I try to send an e-mail from Outlook with VPN on.

If I turn the VPN off, I have no trouble sending e-mails through Outlook.
