Hi Michael,
We're sorry to know that.
To reach AVG customer care, please always use the links as mentioned in this article.
We would like to clarify that the original IP address will be hidden when you turn on VPN.
By doing this, a virtual network will be created and devices like printer will not be recognized as PC is working on a different ip address.
The device will be recognized only when they are on same network.
Could you turn off AVG Secure VPN and check whether printer working?
Do you mean to say that you aren't able to access websites due to AVG?
If that is the case, let us check whether the issue is because of AVG Internet Security.
Please open AVG Internet Security program window. Click on "Menu->About" and check whether it shows 20.5 version.
Please refer this article and disable each components of AVG Internet Security one by one.
Once it is done, check whether you are able to access the websites and access Outlook.

The issue with Outlook IS due to AVG VPN. Since disabling the VPN, Outlook has run without issue when returning from sleep mode. AVG VPN blocks everyting including my routers.
AVG VPN is blocking my routers and printer. I have 3 different routers and it blocks them all. I selected them as private but it still does not recognize them. It also blocks my printer. When I shut it off the Behavior Shield is turned off. If I sleep my PC with Outlook on it locks up Outlook.
AVG is unusable. The fact that there is no easy way to contact support is very frustrating and is making me think I made a bad choice.
Thank you for the information, Michael.
I believe that the issue with Outlook is not due to AVG.
Can you contact Microsoft support and inquire about this?
The purpose of AVG Secure VPN is to secure your online privacy.
Hence, we would suggest you to turn off AVG Secure VPN whenever you wish to use the printer as the working concept of VPN could not be changed.
May I know where you exactly choose the router as "Private"?
Is it from network profiles of "AVG Internet Security"?
Are you able to access websites when AVG Secure VPN is turned off?

Michael, I'd request you to get connected with our remote assistance team for further analysis.
version 20.5.3130 (build 20.5.5410.584)
The issue is not that Outlook does not work. It freezes after returning after sleep mode.
Websites are blocked when using the VPN with a message that the router is unknown. The router is selected as Private in the setup.
If the printer will not work with the VPN, the application is useless. I print postage labels from USPS and eBay from the browser.
