VPN blocks e-mail sending

I experienced a Kill Switch operation e few days ago. I reset everything and could get back on line. However, now I cannot send e-mail from my Outlook program as it says: Error 550, Administrative Prohibition. I then excluded the Kill Switch on my VPN Settings; no difference. When I switched AVG VPN off there was no more trouble, but my messages ar now no longer encrypted.
How can I restore VPN so that it works correct again?

The procedure you referred me to is basically for setting up e-mail that to work with AVG Secure VPN. I have used the VPN since March and had no problems sending e-mail until the VPN “Kill Switch” operated a few days ago. That resulted in internet being switched off altogether. I restored internet access by resetting the Kill Switch function, however, after this I could not send e-mail out anymore. I have to switch the AVG VPN off to be able to send e-mails out. This is not a problem with e-mail settings, but clearly the problem sits in the VPN. If this problem cannot be resolved, there is no reason to keep the AVG VPN as it doesn’t protect my e-mail anymore.
