Hello Barry,
I'm sorry for hear that you're experiencing issues with AVG Secure VPN activation. You can open AVG Secure VPN > Click left arrow button > AVG console will be open > select your email address > leave this network > wait for 2 minutes > login to an existing network. Your AVG Secure VPN program will be activated automatically. After that, I also request you to restart the AVG Secure VPN services once (press Windows Logo+R: Run dialog box and type services.msc > select AVG Secure VPN > click start/restart) and check if your AVG Secure VPN is working fine.

VPN is installed, but when activated it does not load.  An error message is not displayed
