VPN doesn't give option to change location (free trial)

I just found out AVG offered a VPN so I downloaded the free trial.

Unfortunately, it does not let me choose my location. I've clicked 'change location' several times and it does nothing. No drop down menu appears. Restarting the computer does nothing either.

I read the help page at https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Secure-VPN-FAQ and still nothing.

I saw the topic posted by Glen in February and he was told  free trial users should be able to change locations but it isn't working. https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DeljAAC
