This is not an expected behavior of AVG VPN. In this regard, we would request you to follow the troubleshooting steps.
Select a different AVG server location. Open AVG Secure VPN, then click Change location on the main application screen and select a location.
Select a different VPN protocol. Open AVG Secure VPN, and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings ▸ VPN protocols.
Also, please let us know in which protocol the VPN connection fails and, in which protocol the VPN connects successfully.
