1, Restart your PC and try to connect to AVG Secure VPN.
2, Are you able to access your internet without AVG Secure VPN? 
3, Select a different AVG Secure VPN location (optimal location).
4, Disconnect if you have any other VPN. 
5, Make sure your AVG Secure VPN subscription is active. Open AVG Secure VPN > My AVG > My Subscription > check your subscription status.
5, Change your DNS server settings from a different provider. Refer to this article for instruction.
6, If the issue persists, try to reinstall the AVG Secure VPN.

Mention your PC's operating system and version of your AVG Secure VPN.
