Vpn kil switch cut off printer

Hello Mr Emery,

The purpose of kill switch in AVG secure VPN is to block your internet access whenever the VPN disconnects accidentally.
This will prevent the privacy leaks. We have to find the reason for AVG secure VPN to be disconnected.
In general, you will not be able to connect with the printer when you use a VPN application.
The reason is because a VPN application will mask the original IP address and create a random one.
We would like to know whether there is any connectivity issue with your internet?
Regarding auto start of AVG Secure VPN when computer starts, you should have enabled the option to exclude trusted (private) networks in the settings.
Open AVG Secure VPN window. Click on "gear icon" and select "Network Security". Click on the box that says "exclude trusted network" and make sure that it is unchecked.
By doing this, you will get the VPN turned on automatically when the computer starts.
Hi, I am not a techie, but I have been having problems with VPN kill switch cutting off printer, then telling me I have 60, 120 200 odd secs before I can get VPN back up as its cut off the wifi to the printer.  wifi on phone still works so why not the printer.   Printer goes into sleep mode, I have to switch it off now then on again to get it to work, before VPN kill switch it was ok after a sleep it came back up and worked as I sent bits to print..   Can anyone help, is it the settings, what have I done wrong, its driving me crazy. Oh and the worst, I set the VPN to start when pc comes on, if I have to reboot, it doesn't automatically switch on, I have to go in and manually switch it on....any help please...   Thanks Ken

Go morning Balasubramanian
Thank you for the prompt responce, you asked if I have had any problems with the connectivity via BT, I have not, we had an outage couple weeks ago, but that was over a large area, usually its very stable.
I have followed your advice to the letter, though only just logged in, it seems ok.  Thank you
