VPN makes my internet activity freeze from time to time

This is an expected behaviour.

You may sometimes experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. This is because VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.

For example:
If i dont use my AVG VPN, my internet activity (such as uploading pictures, opening websites etc) happens instantly.
But if i DO use my AVG VPN it starts to freeze(by "freeze" i mean process of website loading) for like 6-8 seconds each time i try to enter website.
Sometimes its very annoying… Does it work that way or Do i have some kind of problem?
