Hello Abe
Try these steps to connect
Open AVG user interface, - Options, click Firewall settings. On the lower left corner click Expert Mode, click advanced settings. - On the right pane check box. Allow any traffic to virtual private networks (VPN) and then click below on Apply and OK
If you are prompted to enter a user profile for your VPN account to do so.
If AVG Firewall blocks VPN traffic, you must allow the VPN, by setting
Then try to use again VPN app
Thanks
I use the firewall to block certain items like Internet Explorer which I never use. When I open IE…AVG gives me a popup to either allow or not…sometimes. It depends on my VPN.
I have a VPN (Private Internet Access). Whne the VPN is active…the firewall is effectively useless. All programs that I've tried, like IE…have full access to the internet. It is literally like activating the VPN effectively turns off the firewall. Turn theVPN off…and the firewall blocks IE.
I don't like this. At all. Is there some firewall setting I can change so that when using a VPN…I'm not naked as newborn baby? Please!
