Ensure the below settings are in place for AVG Secure VPN to turn on automatically whenever you connect to internet.
1. Double-click the AVG Secure VPN icon on your Windows desktop to open the application.
2. Go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
3. Select Network Security in the left panel.
4. Under Turn on the VPN, tick the box next to Automatically when connected to the Internet.
5. Ensure the box next to Exclude Trusted (private) networks is unticked.
Now restart your PC and verify if AVG Secure VPN is turned on automatically or not.
I have my VPN set to come on at the computer start up BUT it is not doing it. I have to go in manually each time and turn it on. When I check it, sometimes it says something went wrong and it has to initialize again in addition to just turning on. I have checked my settings, turned the auto startup off and then on again but it still does not work. It used to work fine until the last AVG update. How do I get the auto on at start up to work again?
