Hello Jacqueline.
We're here to help.
Please open AVG Secure VPN, click Settings (clog wheel) at the top right hand corner.
On the Settings screen, select Network Security in the left pane and untick the box next to Exclude Trusted (private) networks.
Now verify if the issue is resolved.
Hi, thank you for your reply. I went to those things you suggested, but it didn't work unless I didn't give it enough time to switch it on. However, I noticed that the Network Security area also had a box to check for the VPN to come on on Startup, so I checked that as well, so it was checked in two areas. It works now, and tells me that with a panel coming up in bottom right corner that it has been switched on. It used to do that sometimes but hadn't for quite awhile, with me having to switch it on. So, that's fixed now, thanks.
The other thing that it's doing is that when I click the red cross in the right-hand corner to close the box, I have to do it three or four times before it closes. It gets a white outline across the top of the box when it's going to close on the next click. It never used to do this, so why is this? It's a bit annoying.
I have my VPN selected to be switched on when my computer starts up but it doesn't, I always have to switch it on, and that's only if I check it which I do now. Why is this?
Thank you for understanding, Jackie.

Thank you for letting us know.
We're glad to hear that the application startup issue has been resolved.
Regarding closing out the app, it looks like the user interface is taking a second to close and when you hurry it by clicking 'x' twice or thrice, the user interface is becoming unresponsive. Thus the white outline. Please just click the 'x' one time and wait for the user interface to close out.

Oh, yes, it sometimes brings up that it's being unresponsive. It seems to be behaving at the moment as it's closing right away. I think it depends on how long I've had it opened for, when it was taking longer. Thanks for your help.
