VPN optimal location issue

Yes, we can change the location in the AVG Secure VPN.

Open the AVG Secure VPN and change to the nearby location.

Then check for the sites again.

With my VPN on, google searches return adds, links, etc from sites in the UK. Amazon UK as well.
The optimal site is New York.  I'm in the eastern US and have no interest in UK info.
Can this be corrected?
