VPN prevents login

Connect to several different VPN servers - it could be that the issue is related to one server.
Please open AVG Secure VPN, click "CHANGE LOCATION" and select the country and the city, where you would like to connect to.

I see there is one message about this. I cannot log in to Sprectrum.net, my email provider, with the VPN on. I changed the location to New York from Los Angeles but that did not help. This is annoying, to say the least.
