VPN putting my HP 8020e officejet officejet 8020e offline

Hi Mike,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
AVG Secure VPN helps us to mask the IP address of computer & make it to pose in a different region to bypass geolocation restrictions.
Due to this, the printer might be unable to communicate with the computer, even though in the same network & the required settings are already configured in AVG Secure VPN to allow local devices.
However, please try repairing AVG Secure VPN once to check if it helps.

I have just installed AVG VPN and now my HP Officejet printer is offline.  If I turn off the VPN I can print without problem.  My printer is connected to my router via ethernet cable, as is my Computer. So I have a "private network".  I have set the "Enable local devices when using VPN" ON, but it makes no difference.  I do not want ot have to turn off the VPN every time I want to print something.  Does anyone have a solution before I ask for my money back!

Thank you.

Hi Dinesh,

That didnt help, I'm afraid… I also notice that the VPN is altering my access to BBC website… changing it from BBC.co.uk to BBC.com, it thinks I am in a different country to the UK!  If this is all that I can do, then I will need to ask for a refund, as the VPN is not doing what I need it to do?

Thank you.
