VPN seems to interfere with my watching Asian Drama

I have tried to view the dramas with the VPN off and on and having changed addresses as well but the show is always b;ack and the subtitles are all over the place. Before the VPN I had no problems I can't find anything to change unless it is in the VPN program settings but really Ineed an expert to look at the my computer settings and your AVG security and VPN settings, is that possible?.

We're here to help. Did you turn off VPN connection and check if everything is working fine? Please try to change the location to which VPN is connected and verify the issue. Is it only the image of the show that is not displayed or has the streaming also affected?

I have paid subscriptions to some Asian sites ie Viki and Dramafever.
I had no problems with streaming the various TV shows, movies on either while watching in the Korean language with English sub-titles. However, since I have used the VPN, I can no longer get the image of the  show (although the sub-titles work.  I am guessing that the blacked out image is either the site responding to the VPN or somewhere in my settings I can instruct my computer not to block the programmes being sent from the sites. Help please but please keep it really simple inthe explanation of what may be happening and in suggested remedies.
