Vpn set to London UK but BBC site will only come up as .com!

We realize the situation.
BBC websites doesn't always allow users to connect via VPN. This could be the reason you're being redirected to bbc.com websites.  
There are several locations good optimized for video streaming. Gotham, Miami, New York, Seattle, Wonderland. You can always advise customers to try to connect to these servers to be able access streaming sites like Netflix.

What is the point of a vpn that doesn't allow websites to recognise the correct country where you are located?? Repeatedly tried to get BBC to work with the vpn on (it is set to London UK) but no reverts to .com version so any video materials with limitations on access from aboard won't play. RUBBISH!!!
