I recently added secure VPN to my other AVG items. However I had it removed after a few days because it slowed down my searches and the time to open searched pages. Once it was removed everything back to speed. Why is that?

This isn't the experience we wanted you to have with AVG programs.
You may sometimes experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. This is because VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
You can try connecting to different VPN servers and monitor the status.
As you requested refund for AVG Ultimate (Multi-device) you will not be use VPN service.
If you need any help, please install the program and try the above steps to check further.
