This is the usual behavior. You may sometimes experience a slower internet connection when using Secure VPN. This is because VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server.
Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
Ran a broadband speed test with VPN off and got 219.3Mbps. Ran with VPN on and got just 26.1Mbps. Ran again with VPN off and got 219 again…Therefore VPN slows PC's down by a whopping 82%. probably why lots of people complain they can't download with VPN on. Anyone else had the same drastic reduction in broadband speed using VPN
