VPN stopped working

Hello, 

I've been using AVG VPN for the better part of a year and my subscription is still current. In the last few days however, it hasn't been working. It keeps telling me 'Connection Error - VPN Connection could not be established' even though I am connected to the internet and can browse without problems. I am logged in and everything seems to be working as usual, only my VPN does not connect.

Is there an overall failure or disturbance or am I doing something wrong?
