Would you be so kind to clarify whether you've tried connecting to different servers (locations) in AVG Secure VPN, before reinstalling?
If not, please connect to different servers & check if it helps. Reason being, sometimes, the server to which we're connected might be under maintenance or unavailable.
Yes I have tried quite a few of the different servers & still same I'm working on windows 10 home I've never had this problem before ?
i have the avg secure vpn i have had it for years no problems i turned my computer on today & internet was fine i turned on my vpn it connected after a long wait but stopped me using the internet the page says this cant be reached then says no internet & avg comes up saying connection error so i turn off avg & internet works fine i have uninstalled & reinstalled turnd comp off & on rebooted hub any ideas ?

Could you connect to a different network or wired connection and check the issue?

Hi I have tried being connected straight to hub with lan & I have tried hotspot off my phone & my wife's but still when connected to vpn won't let me surf the net ?
