The possibility for this to happen is, the server (location) to which you've connected through VPN is under maintenance or unavailable.
In this regard, would you be so kind to try connecting to different servers in Secure VPN to check if it helps?

Hi

I've installed the VPN. I turn it on, open a web page, get the message saying the VPN has connected, ten seconds later it disconnects and tells me my internet is off. It won't let me turn wi-fi back on, just turns itself on and off every few seconds and I have no internet access at all. 

I can only access the internet with the VPN turned off, which entirely negates the point of having a VPN.

I have no problems accessing the internet when the VPN is off, only when it is on. I restarted the PC but it made no difference.

I tried resetting the location to one of your other servers - no difference. My work laptopo, also on a VPN, is working just fine on the same connection (but not at the same time - I disconnected in case the there was a conflict).

Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue:

- Disconnect AVG Secure VPN and try to browse the web. If you still cannot connect to the internet, check your network configuration.

- Select a different AVG Secure VPN location.

- Disconnect other VPN services that may be running on your PC. If you are connected to another VPN, AVG Secure VPN likely won't work properly.

- Restart your PC and try to connect to AVG Secure VPN again.

- Check whether your subscription is activated successfully ( Open AVG Secure VPN screen, click My AVG ▸ My Subscription to verify it).

- If the issue persists, refer this article and follow the steps as mentioned (What should I do if AVG Secure VPN is unable to establish a connection?)
