Hello Mike,
I'm sorry to hear about this. Please press Windows Logo+R: Run dialog box, type Services.msc and look for AVG Secure VPN. Please select AVG Secure VPN and click start/restart. After that, please try to turn on your AVG Secure VPN.

VPN will not turn on screen just shows loading then goes back to screen showing off
