I have been in touch with Technical Support, who actually spent two hours this afternoon trying to resolve the problem. Unfortunately they couldn't, and feel that it is indeed a compatibility issue. Secure VPN just won't work on my computer any more. Tough. Will have to wait for a new version that does!
I have exactly the same problem. I got in touch with AVG Support yesterday, and the person who I communicated with could not solve the problem. All he tried to do was change the location, which did not work. Apparently the problem will now be dealt with at a higher level, but I have had no email as yet, 24 hour later. I would rather do without AVG Secure VPN than have the Enhanced Firewall turned off. I am starting to worry that I have been the victim of an elaborate scam!
I have had AVG VPN for a year now with no issues, now when it's on I get a message reading ' cannot establish a connection ' when I turn the VPN off then I can open the browser with no issues, I also just bought PC tuneup thinking that would help, it didn't, I also thought you got a 60 day free trial of the PC tuneup, I didn't. I'm very disappointed with this service and I may change my security software over these issues

I've tried chrome, explorer, firefox all with the same results, i was at it for 4 hours, it's quite obvious from the amount of enquiries that you've had on this very subject that there is a compatability issue somewhere amd maybe a patch to fix this as we have all paid for a service that is of absolutely no use to us!

We request you to enable the AVG Secure VPN and turn off the Enhanced Firewall of your AVG Internet Security then check if the issue still persists.
