Vprot causing 100% disk usage

I had to end Vpro.exe because it was causing my disk usage to his and stay at 100. After I ended it it dropped to 0. Has anyone else had this happen? It made my laptop unbearably slow. 

I imagine it'll come back after I restart, do I need it and how can I get rid of it for good?
