Hi Sten,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output (run it after inducing described behavior) using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.

Vprot.exe i said to be part of AVG toolbar. I observe it sending about 8 KB/s all the time. Where is it sending that data and why?
