i want to open settings but it is showing that you entered wrong password .i am putting my avg account password

No replies to this. I am trying to enter Settings bc that is the only way to turn off their annoying ads. After 20 years I’ve had it with AVGs software model, and am cancelling all subscriptions. But, in the meantime, I need to access Settings to turn off ads and they are not letting me.
Updated password, still no dice.
