Today avg updated their protection watch dog. Now it has blocked the computer. Any ideas please

I understand that you are unable to boot into your computer after AVG update. If it is, then please remove the USB Wireless devices connected to your computer(mouse and keyboard) and restarting your computer should allow access to Windows. Once logged in it is necessary to update or remove the Logitech software.
