Hello Peter,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Do you get the message as AVG watchdog and Phase 0 and Phase 1 when you boot the PC?
I have W10 upgraded from W8.1 and has been working successfully for a year on HP laptop with AMD chip. My machine now does not boot into windows because of a frozen Watch Dog initialisation screen.
How can I get windows to boot to solve this problem?
Oh, and please note-- there's no "pending review" on my social media platforms. Fix the problem you caused, or I will let people know AVG will ruin a perfectly good computer.
I also have W10 and watchdog was not letting me star or re-start my computer.
There was another forum with AVG that said that there was an issue with the router, so I turned it off and my computer started normally.
At this point, I have uninstalled AVG, however, when is a solution to this problem going to be provided?
I have paid for 2 years, and I certainly expect to be able to use what I pay for.
Thanks

Peter,
We request you to disconnect any external device like USB flash drive or printer etc., and try to boot your PC. If that does not help, please try to boot your PC to safe mode as described in the article http://www.howtogeek.com/107511/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-8-the-easy-way/ .
