Watch dog virus

I noticed on start up a count down labelled watch dog this coincided with numerous telephone calls claiming to be from bt offering to fix my computer problem-may be the 2 are not connected but it is a strange coincidence-how do I remove this virus? AVG and Mcafee Scans did not detect it.

Hello David,
Thank you for reaching us out. If it is AVG watchdog service you are referring to, the issue is caused by outdated Logitech drivers and is unconnected with our software.

Removing the USB Wireless device and restarting should allow access to Windows. Once logged in it is necessary to update or remove the Logitech software. And the calls offering you technical support does not relate to this issue and there is a pretty good chance they being scam calls.
