AVG did an update on my Windows Vista box the other night and aferwards some features began not working. I rebooted and the system locked right after POST with a "wdf01000.sys corrupt" message. I replaced the file with one that I downloaded and got the system up and running (sort of), but the new wdf01000.sys file has an earlier date than the one that was reported to be corrups and many features do not work – video drivers, sidebar, e-mail spell checker, etc.

WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW TO I FIX IT???

Hello Al. Sorry to hear that. Thank you providing the requested information. It seems like hardware issue, I request you to check the RAM and hard drive for errors and reinstallation of corrupted drivers might help if it is not hardware issue. Thank you.

Hello Al. I am sorry to hear this and apologize for the inconvenience. Please reach us back if you have any further queries. Thank you. Kishore, AVG Customer Care.
