Could anyone tell me how to disable the very annoying pop up message "we are always looking out for you" that shows up every time I unlock my phone screen. I have a paid AVG antivirus.

We want to get that sorted out, and to do so, please click on this link
https://support.avg.com/support_contact_form?l=&retUrl=support_sales . Select "YES" option for the question "Are you currently using any paid/trial AVG products?" and the operating system as "ANDROID". Fill in the details and click on the option "Request answer via email". Once your request is submitted you will be get prompt answer via email from our mobile support team.

If running on Android, you can alter the notification settings for specific notifications.
Hold your finger on the AVG app, and then choose "App Info". Then "Notifications".
You can then choose which catergories you wish to allow to disable or enable, as I am running the free version I have disabled Discounts and Promos, Feature Activation and Background Services.

I'm hoping this will stop the incredibly annoying 'We are always looking out for you' notification, which to me, is utterly annoying and serves no purpose.

Hi Hans,

Please follow the below steps to disable the Notification from AVG on your Android device.

1. Open AVG Antivirus app.
2. Tap on drawer(3 lines) on top-left of the app.
3. Click on Settings.
4. Click on Notifications and Alerts.
5. Click on Real time Protection.
6. Toggle off the particular notification you wish to remove.
