Web page loads, but will not respond to login attempt despite correct credentials. (since installing avg). It works on other computers and on ipad. I have cleared cache, etc

Barbara, Have you actually tried disabling AVG to see if it works?. Have a look @ this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-disable-AVG). If it does try disabling the individual components to find the actual culprit.
