Web Pages Won't Load

Hello Rognvald,
I understand the inconvenience caused. I am sure we will be able to fix this together. May I know which AVG program you have installed on your computer (AVG Free Antivirus/AVG Internet Security). If possible, please share screenshot/picture (you can take a picture of the AVG user interface) to assist you further. You can click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Best regards,
Alok.

Thank you for your prompt reply Alok. I cannot supply screenshots as I have uninstalled the software. As I said, nothing would work with it installed; how would I get a screenshot if there are no web pages loaded? I didn't take note of the name but I think that it is this:
'NEW AVG AntiVirus FREE.
Installs in moments. Protects forever.'
This was copied from the second page of your website, Download Free Antivirus Software for PC | AVG Virus Protection
Shall I try reinstalling the software?

I don't know what happened.
I downloaded the software and then opened the file to install the software. Everything seemed to be going well until the progress bar reached 97%. But then the screen went blank, apart from the usual stuff across the top and bottom. The place where you type in the text said, 'aboutblank'.
I have taken a screen shot if you want to see it. How do I get it to you?

I have reviewed all the sites which I visit regularily and everything seems fine. I shall keep an eye on thing meantime. Any idea what went wrong?

I run Google web browser on a tower computer using Windows 10.
I am disappointed wirh Bitdefender so I thought that I would try your free virus protection first. I downloaded it yesterday but today I could not load any web pages. So I tried a repair and it seemed to work, but only once, so I tried it again and still no web pages would load. I have tried rebooting and restarting but still no luck. So I uninstalled AVG and everything works perfectly.
I am sending this from my ipad at the moment.
I would like to try your software so please help. Not much use if I cannot load web pages.
I have tried Firefox and MS Edge with similar results.
Thank you.

I have done as you have requested and I am now typing this on my tower computer, not my ipad, so it seems to be working now. However, I encountered one problem; this site;  Lidl Plus Terms of Use gives the following error message; 'Please note and inform your administrator. Error code: 500 - Internal server error. Error message: An Internal server error occurred.'
I don't know if this is connected to my current problem but I have never had a problem loading this site before. Please advise.
A minor point, my name is Rognvald (after the Norse Saint Rognvald), not 'Rogvand'. It's not a big problem.

I have enabled as you have suggested and I have had no more problems this evening. I have just turned off my computer but will review things tomorrow.
I have run the diagnostics and sent it off. Acknowledgement received.

Rogvand,
Appreciate your efforts and patience to try out our instructions. I would request you to disable HTTPS scanning in Online shield component and check if the issue with browsing is resolved.

Open AVG AntiVirus Free, click on Menu->Settings->Components->Online shield->Customize. Uncheck HTTPS scanning.
