Web plus not responding when AVG active

Have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG and problem still there. I expected this as it is a problem on two computers. I have added Webplus X8 as an allowed application in AVG settings and added the webplus data folder with.html files to the exclusions in AVG settings - still not fixed. Internet connection sharing mode is enabled and connections are private where it lets me change them.

Yes, just the same. The application starts but when I try to export content to a disk folder it freezes. If I disable AVG and restart the web plus application it works fine. Web plus does not appear in the blocked apps list and I have added it to the allowed apps list - still the same.

In this case, I kindly request you to change the network profile to Private and enable "file sharing and allow remote connection" in the System Rules using this article.
If the issue still persists, check whether the software is added to the Blocked Apps in Settings -> General.

My website creation software Serif Webplus X8  goes to 'not responding' when I try to export files to a disk folder. After a very long time (one hour or more) it unfreezes. If I disable AVG, this doesn't happen and the export happens immediately Any ideas please?

Done that, still the same. If it is significant, the application is freezing when it tries to export files to a disk folder. These are .html files.

Paul, we request you to reinstall the AVG program and check for the issue again.

Hi, when I change network profiles to private and enable file sharing and remote connection to enabled, then I click away and back again they reset to the original settings. There is no 'OK' button or 'confirm' button.

Thank you for clraifying, Paul. In this regard, let us attempt to enable 'Internet connection sharing' mode in AVG Firewall to check if it helps.
To enable it : Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - Full protection (left pane) - Enhanced firewall - Check 'Internet connection sharing mode' to enable it.
