Meanwhile, please ensure that the AVG program has the latest patches applied to it.
Open AVG program - click on refresh icon beside virus definitions, at bottom right corner - Restart computer after successful update & check.

I get the same error using Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. It happens with almost every website I attempt to visit. Expecting me to add every website as an "exception" is ludicrous.  Furthermore, I've had to turn off VPN on my phone (iPhone 13) due to similar issues, sites not able to connect. I've used AVG for years without difficulty.

Are you able to access those websites in other browsers and check?
Also, did you try to add those websites under AVG Exceptions and check?
Open AVG Internet Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
Select General ▸ Exceptions, then click Add exception.
Add an exception in one of the following ways: Type the specific file/folder path or URL into the text box, then click Add exception.
