Web Shield blocks browsing the internet

Hello, 
I just purchased the AVG antivirus for my new computer. The issue is that after the installation I cannot browse the internet. I try to reach any page and it's blocked.
I just disabled the web shield so I can even reach this page to be in touch with you. But it's not the idea to be on the internet having the antivirus disabled…
Could you please provide support?
