Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your kind words and support for AVG products.
Yes, you can block access to websites using the 'Web Shield' component in your AVG Internet Security.
Please follow the below steps to enable site blocking and add a new site to the blocked websites list:
- Open AVG Internet Security.
- Click on Menu > Settings.
- Select Basic protection from the left panel, then click Web Shield.
- Check/enable the "Enable site blocking" option.
- Click on "Show blocked websites".
- Click the "+ Add Website" button to block further websites, or click the Close button to save and exit.
Let us know if you need further assistance.
Thank you for writing us back, Anthony.
Regrettably there's no such option in AVG Internet Security.
Let us know if you've any queries and we'd be happy to assist you.
Thank you for understanding.
Hi everyone I'm newbie here.
Since I didn't have a good experience using website blockers I notice out the web shield from AVG internet security works great to block those annoying websites I don't want in my computer.
Now, is it there a way to put several websites into the blocker? I got a notepad with more than 15k adult film websites I want to put into the blocker, how can I do this without finish in 2024?
Thank you! (=
Maybe I wasn't clear enough... There we go again.
I have a notepad with more than 15000 websites and I want to block all of them. I was using the host from the system32-driver-etc folder (Microsoft) but doesn't work as I expected. I notice I'm able to do this using the web shield from my antivirus (I already know how to use it). Now the idea of my thread It's about if there's some way to put all the links (+15000) at once into the web shield. Isn't there a folder with a file where I can put all the links at once or something similar?
I can't add more than 15000 links one by one, I wouldn't never finish !

I guess there's going to be a file in the AVG folder where all the websites you add from the web shield keep save it there maybe?
