Webpages freeze after install paid version of AVG

I have upgraded to the paid version of AVG.  I had no problems prior to this.

Now my computer is laggy.  Web pages freeze.  Mainly having issues with EBay and Gumtree.

Any help would be great.

Hi yes I have the latest version installed of AVG ultimate.  I can take a screen shot, but I dont see the point as it doesnt show the real time lag and screen freeze.  It just looks like ordinary pictures.
