Webpages not loading

Hi Tony,

We're glad to look into this & help you. This isn't the usual behavior of AVG.
Please let us know the browser in which you're experiencing the issue & does this happen with irrespective of browsers.
Meanwhile, let us identify the component that causes the issue. To do so : Open AVG - Menu - Settings - Basic protection - Disable File system shield & check.
If issue persists, re-enable File shield & repeat the same steps with other components till you identify. Note : Please check the shields that are available under Full protection as well.

Hi,
Since upgrading to latest windows 10 pro and reinstalling AVG Internet Security almost all webpages will not load. If I turn off Protection the pages load OK.
Any help would be appreciated.

We appreciate your efforts in identifying the component, Tony.
However, as informed earlier, this isn't the usual behavior.
In this regard, we can check if the browsers are blocked to access protected folders through Ransomware protection.
To check : Open AVG - Menu - Settings - General - Blocked & allowed apps - Check if the browsers are listed below Blocked apps. If listed, click on X mark beside them to remove them.
If not, you can try repairing AVG program once to check if it helps.

Thank you for your quick response and help.
It appears the the Ransomware Protection seems to allow sites to load when turned off.
This is happening in Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Not so bad in Edge though.
