From your description, we see that the TuneUp program awaits activation.
To activate : Open TuneUp - My AVG (at top right) - My subscriptions - Enter a valid activation code (sent to you via email. Reason being, privacy concerns).
Please use that code to activate & let us know if it helps.

Just installed AVG Ultimate that I paid cash for earlier. It says that I'm protected But every time I try to use the TuneUp for Windows it keeps asking me to subscribe. From reading some of the other comments, I believe I may have been Ultimately screwed.
