What happened to task selection in auto cleaner for Android

I understand that you have difficulties with AVG in your mobile. To best assist you with this, I suggest you to contact our AVG Mobile support.

Please click on the following link ( http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical ) and fill out your details, select platform as "Android" and the name of AVG Program that you have installed in your mobile. In the description please completely explain about your issue and click on "Email" option. When filling out your details choose "Yes" for the question "Are you currently using any paid/trial AVG products?" even though you may be using the Free version. The AVG mobile team will reply to you via email with a resolution.

Hello all. Is there still any way to specify cleaning tasks in the Android Auto Clean function? AVG's support article on AVG Cleaner for Android

claims you can still select desired cleaning items for an auto clean task:

Auto Clean (schedule and tasks)

“Auto Clean” makes it possible to schedule the cleaning task and decide which cleaning actions will be performed:

  • Frequency
    - Never (selecting this option will disable “Auto Clean”)
    - Daily
    - Weekly (checked by default)
    Once a scheduled cleaning activity has been performed, an “Auto Clean performed” message and icon will be displayed in your device notification area. Tapping this message will open the AVG Cleaner app.
  • Categories
    - Clean App History
    - Clean App Cache (checked by default)
    - Clean Calls & Messages
    Checking a category from the list will open the list’s possible selections.
However, the ACTUAL auto clean settings screen now has ONLY the options to set frequency (24, 48, 72 hours or weekly), amount to clean (eg, 50, 100, 250mg) and whether to alert when cleaning is done. Without the option to control which data is cleaned, this feature is now useless. It's also annoying to get constant reminders that auto clean is ready when it is supposed to be turned off.
