I had foound that help already but that only handles the out bound - the old way you could set the port for gmail.com or some other supplire plus a port for your local email client (see attached images) thus allowing you to build a chain like I had - internet to spam checker (popfiile) to email client. cannot do this with just those port settings

apparently my AVG updated yesterday or last night without me saying okay and now my email wont retrieve from google. I used AVG Free and had the additional servers set up for pop and smtp for google and windstream to route it to the correct port. I am also one of those uses a spam filter (popfile) and it sits between the internet and avg before it gets to my email client. I found the setup in Troubleshooting for different ports but how do I link it to a particular server: like smtp.gmail.com?

trying to get a response back to support ---- with the current settings how do you build a chain of ports to handle virus chekcing then spam checking and then pass to my email client like you could with the old avg settings for servers - did thae server option go away completely or some option you need to check??
