What Have You Done To The Address Tabs?

I am having exactly the same problems and frustrations as Brad Patterson.
Would be so helpful if you could post the solution here as there are doubtlessly many of us struggling over this change.

I look forward to seeing the full resolution to revert back to the original browser functionality with address tab showing at the top of the screen.

Thank you for expediting your answer.

FYI…this is a laptop.

Thank you. I absolutely MUST be able to turn it off. At the very least, it should be simple to "Insert" revert back to Non Suspended Tabs

It's been 2 and 1/2 days. One email from Miroslav to check extensions.

I don't understand. How difficult can it possibly be to put in a "Revert back to previous version of AVG" button on the three dot drop down?

Hello to everyone who participated on this AVG Community posting (past and present). To bring closure to this reported disruption, albeit delayed, to follow is a proposed troubleshoot:

I suspect the root of this disruption is that your Windows system is in Tablet Mode as opposed to Desktop Mode, which will affect the behavior of your tabs when using AVG Secure Browser.

For troubleshoot purposes, to try toggling this Windows system setting, as follows:

1. Select Windows Search icon (to the left of the Windows icon in the bottom Windows tray)
2. Type, Tablet Mode, and select Tablet Mode Settings

From here you may toggle off/on the tablet/desktop mode to determine if this resolves your experienced disruption. Good luck. Regards, Shawn

My job requires me to routinely keep a dozen windows open and available all day. Up until today I see ALL those tabs at the top of my screen minimized. It's always point, click, and go.

Some genius has suddenly made the worst decision ever to eliminate the space for all tabs at the top of the page and put them in one little box you have to click on. Then you have to have absolutely perfect aim to slide an iddy biddy scroll bar over to see ALL your minimized windows until you find the one you want. Then to go back to the page you were just on the process starts all over again!

This is complete insanity and completely unworkable. Seriously, please fire the person who came up with this and the one who thought it was a good thing.

Now tell me how to get my ORIGINAL browser back I had this morning!

Thank you!

Gary, we'd request you to contact our technical support team (https://support.avg.com/support_contact_form?l=en) for help to resolve this issue.

As it is a new feature in AVG Secure browser, we'll check this with the next level of support, Brad. Once we receive info from them, we'll write back to you. Thank you for your undertanding in advance!

You are welcome, Brad.
Our senior team has sent you an email and asked few information.
Please revert to their email in order to get quick assistance.
Thank you.

Yes. I've restarted several times. The Tab turned it self back on and I now for sure have it off. I uninstalled and reinstalled AVG. I've been through every possible setting and nothing changes.

If it matters, Microsoft Edge shows my Tabs no problem, so this is an AVG issue.

Yes. Miroslav did indeed email requesting the info on the Extensions page. I sent him a screen shot many hours ago. It showed only a picture of AVG Anti Virus disabled. I will not use it, and have not used it for more than a year, because it was locking up my computer dozens of times a day.

So, waiting on the next step.

Thank you Dinesh. I did as you suggested. The Tab was ON, I took it off. No change

Appreciate your efforts in sharing us the screeenshots, which provided a better clarity of the issue, Brad.
Upon checking them, we see that the inactive tabs are being suspended on your browser to improve the performance. You can try disabling this setting by : Opening Secure browser - Click on Menu (3 dots) - Settings - Performance (in left pane) - If the slider beside 'Improve computer performance' is enabled, click on it to disable.
Please try the above step & let us know if it helps.

Appreciate your efforts, Brad. Would you be so kind to let us know if you've restarted the browser/computer once & checked the status?
Also, ensure that the setting stays off after restarting.

I understand your concern, Brad
Since your case is already with our senior team and they are working on it.
I request your patience in this matter.
